Kara Jones, Director
Kara has been an active and visible advocate for American Indian children and the preservation of American Indian culture. Kara has decided tackle relentlessly the growing influx of American Indian children who are in custody of the state and/or are in non-Native placements. It is this passion that lead Kara to work for Red Path to serve as a placement agency as well as a training facility for American Indian foster parents. Kara is a member of the North Carolina Indian Child Welfare Task Force and has been appointed to a new legislative committee chair by Representative Sutton to address and change Indian Children Welfare laws and concerns as the representative for the Lumbee Tribe. Kara also travels throughout the southeast to provide emotional support for Lumbee children and their family.
